A Visit to the Norway Pavilion: Arendelle Royalty, Norwegian Artifacts, and the Giant Troll

January 14, 2014

Hey guys! Sorry I have been hibernating for the past couple of weeks, but I've just been super busy since the holidays are over, cleaning and attempting to organize my house. I'm super exhausted, but just managed to put away the last of the holiday decor this past weekend. *sigh*

I thought I would start off this week by discussing my obsession for Frozen and also by showing my meet and greet with Elsa and Anna in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot. I'm in love with the movie, can't stop listening to the soundtrack, and I cannot wait until it comes out so I can buy it and watch it over and over again! I'm also going to Walt Disney World next weekend (YAY!), and I'm definitely going to meet Elsa and Anna again. They were so gorgeous here, and I was dying over Elsa's dress!

I'm also super excited to wear my new Elsa inspired Mickey ears (below) to Disney this time! They're probably my favorite I've made so far, and I even purchased an Elsa shirt to match it! I'm really starting to enjoy making these... I've even made some for my friends. The ears below these are Anna inspired that I made for my friend who is a huge Anna fan, and I tried to make them look similar to her coronation gown. I'm considering opening up an Etsy shop soon... but maybe after I get back from this next Disney trip!

I had to include a beautiful picture of the Stave Church in the Noway Pavilion, because it totally reminded me of Elsa and Anna's castle in Arendelle. I've always loved Norway in the World Showcase, mostly because of Maelstrom, but after watching Frozen, I have a whole new love for it.

And why not include an adorable birdy perched up in a Norway tree?! So cute.

After coming out of the meet and greet with Elsa and Anna, my friends and I explored the Puffin's Roost shop and gawked at all of the new Frozen merchandise like little girls! Lol. I wandered off and found some really neat Norwegian artifacts, including these different wedding garments, jewelry, photographs, and other items. If you are ever in this area, make sure to check this out. Some of the jewelry pieces are exquisite, including this gilded silver necklace that is shown below at the bottom right.

Sorry you can't see the pipe below, but I was more in love with these embroidery pieces and these small little snap purses. If you look closely, you can see these pretty little silver perfume bottles next to them.

Speaking of perfume... does all of this talk of the Norway Pavilion and the Puffin's Roost bring a familiar scent to mind? It's usually near this area that I begin to smell the amazing Laila perfume! I can actually smell it now... Lol. I always say I'm going to buy a bottle on my next trip, but then it wouldn't be so special anymore, you know?

Loving these crystal chandeliers!

And here we all are in the typical Norway Pavilion picture with the troll. Lord knows my camera has seen a few of these! Hopefully tomorrow I will be showing my Disney outfits that I've planned and some new things I want to see on my next trip!
