My Disney Style | Packing For My Walt Disney World Vacation

November 7, 2013

Hey guys! I'm leaving this morning for Walt Disney World, feeling super tired from a total lack of sleep... does anyone really sleep the night before they go to Disney? Ok good, I thought it was just me! Lol. Anyways, I wanted to share my Disney outfits for this trip. I found some adorable Disney shirts, and got a little crafty this past month. I've been wanting a cute, but different, Mickey Mouse ear headband to wear for this trip. I searched all over Etsy and Ebay, and nothing really excited me. So, I decided to go to JoAnn's fabric store, buy some materials, and make my own!

Below are three of the ones I made: a blingy gold one, a Little Mermaid/Ariel inspired one, and my favorite, a Cinderella inspired one. I originally wanted the gold Mickey Mouse ear headband they made for Disneyland's 50th anniversary, but they were very pricey on Ebay. These required a lot of hard work, burned fingers from the hot glue gun, but they were so worth it! I love these, and I like the fact that no one else will have the same ones as me! I plan on making more of these in the future for my trips, hopefully a vintage EPCOT Center one or maybe Haunted Mansion inspired one?

Here's a few of my outfits for the parks:

1. Top Left - Gangster Mickey and Minnie: Forever 21 Mickey & Minnie Mouse Raglan Top, J.Crew Jeans.

2. Top Right - Cinderella's Birds: Cinderella Top from the DisneyStore Outlet, J.Crew Cutoff Shorts.

3. Bottom Left - Ariel Inspired: J.Crew Factory White Cutoff Shorts & Nautical Red Stripe Top.

4. Bottom Right - Simba & Nala Forever: Simba & Nala Lion King Top from WetSealJ.Crew Cutoff Shorts.

*In all outfits: Nude Patent Leather Sandals from Tory Burch, Watch from Michael Kors, Jewelry from Target.

This outfit (above) is for one of the nights that we go out to dinner, probably for when we check out the California Grill. The dress is from a vintage shop, and I love it because of the gorgeous pattern. A perfect colorful dress for a fun, mid-century inspired restaurant!

I totally missed the boat on Dapper Day this year. It's only a couple of days during the year at the Disney parks where people dress... well, dapper! It's an independent gathering in Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and in Disney Paris, where everyone comes to the Disney Parks in their dressy attire. Hopefully I'll get to go in the future, but this trip I decided to have my own little Dapper Day amongst our group! I found the cutest dress at Target, and it totally reminds me of Jack Skellington. The funky jewelry is from a thrift store, including this really cool necklace with all kinds of embellishments and stones hanging from it. The purple flats were a cheap find at a discount store called Treasure Hunt, I believe they were like $7. They'll go perfect with my purple nail polish!

And here is the ugly part of the packing process! Pure mess & chaos. Want to see what I'm doing on my Disney vaca? Check out my instagram for the next few days, because I'm sure it will be flooded with all things Disney! See ya'll real soon!

  1. I have a question about your Disney Mickey ears. I've been playing around with making some for my girls but worry about the section where the ears attach to the headband. How do you get your to look so smooth?
